Assisting the customer with the transitional responsibilities related to the post-implementation management, migration support, and knowledge transfer to support the solution environment.
Sharing ownership of transitional responsibility for the solution migration, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, provisioning, and service level alignments.
Assisting with the solution documentation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the compliance manager(s) and with other key stakeholders.
Providing knowledge transfer of best practices to address the Customer’s skills and resource gaps, to ensure successful implementation of the Customer’s new technologies.
Please assign a transitional Isilon residence to work with the customer on their new Isilon 6 and older Gen5 nodes. Needs to understand the challenges of managing an infrastructure while implementing a new Isilon product into a production environment. The Resident will provide post-implementation operational management and knowledge transfer to address customer’s resource and skill gaps.
This resident will be responsible for migrating data off a Isilon Gen4/5 cluster in Nashville to an Isilon cluster in Birmingham. SyncIQ will be used for the migration. The design of the migration is being taken care of by an assigned SA, using SA blocks. However, it is essential that this resident tie off with the SA to ensure all aspects of the migration are discussed and understood. No cutover/timelines have been decided upon yet.
