Position Description:

Responsible for all cloud infrastructure and availability. The manager will play a key, hands-on role in the direction of private/ public cloud solutions and ensuring operational uptime of cloud-based software built by internal teams or third-parties. Additionally, responsible for cloud performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning efforts across the enterprise. You investigate, analyze and make recommendations regarding technology improvements, best practices, standardization, scaling, upgrades, and modifications to our cloud infrastructure and services.

• Perform functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, planning, and configuration of cloud solutions and services
• Act in a lead role in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems and in recommendations for procedures and controls for problem prevention.
• Lead implementations and rollouts of new private/public cloud integrations and tools.
• Assist with and participate in disaster recovery testing.
• Act in a lead role in the development of P&Ps and cloud standards, and procedures and controls for problem prevention.
• Research and identify cloud solutions and service to meet Company needs.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications and coordinate RFPs.
• Advanced scripting via PowerShell preferred
• Must be able to install and implement both physical, virtual and cloud server solutions.
• Must have a practical understanding of domain-level services such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Active Directory services including Federations.
• Must have solid understanding of Cloud solutions such as Azure, AWS, Salesforce, VMware, Nutanix etc
• Train, coach, and mentor junior team members, and provide performance feedback as appropriate
• Assist with onboarding newer team members to quickly maximize performance.
• Assist in the supervision of Cloud Engineers.
• Provide support by performing troubleshooting which may include, but
not necessarily be limited to: problem recognition, root cause analysis, research, isolation, resolution, follow-up, and documentation.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science discipline or a comparable level of experience preferred.
• At least seven (7) years of experience working on large- scale infrastructure, server and/or cloud-related projects.
• Must have a deep technical knowledge relative to the connectivity of server/cloud systems, including the configuration, maintenance, and support of new and existing server/cloud solutions.
• Must have good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
On-call availability on a rotational basis is a requirement of this role
