Job Summary:
The position assists the Controller and will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
o Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business
o Develop, analyze, interpret and provide internal distribution of financial information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against Provide services as an “Internal Auditor” assuring controls are being followed.
o Handle and process all aspects of construction payables, including coding, processing contract award work sheets and maintenance of the job cost chart of
o Process contractors payment applications for monthly billings
o Assist in the preparation of loan draws and capital calls from parent
o Assist in the preparation of company financial reporting
o Perform monthly close and related journal
o Monthly review of job cost activity ensuring consistent and proper
o Monitor fixed asset activity in Generate month-end depreciation and amortization entries.
o Responsible for the general ledger, job cost, bank reconciliations and accounts
o Perform monthly closings, maintenance of accounting files, and preparation/organization of various financial forms, reports, and financial analyses,
o Assist with ad-hoc projects and general office support tasks when
o Travel to mine site and Production Facility in Blackfoot to support activities.
Job Specific and/or Technical Skills:
o Previous Work Experience Required: 5years’ experience and in mining preferred.
o Education, Special Skills, and Knowledge Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
o Equipment, Computers, and/or Machinery Required to Operate: Extensive computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and various accounting, finance packages, ERP System such as MS Dynamics AX.
